The computer plays the first move now while I'm playing white agiant Wally.

This issue started a couple of days ago.  It happens when I first play him and then randomly after that.

 It plays e4 as the first move while I'm white. I'm trying to play d4.

Well

if u rematch after u play him

the colors reverse so the bot plays the color u had and u play the bots color

I play Wally as white and don't rematch it.  I try to play d4, but the pawn does not move. Then e4 is played. I resign and go back and play Wally again as white and sometimes I can then play d4 otherwise the computer just plays e4 without my input.

The computer played e4 after I tried d4.  I also seem to have to post the same game twice for it to actually show.

This did change a little bit ago (don't know when).   

You now have to (it seems)

1.  Select your bot
2.  click on the choose button,
3.  select white (or black)
4.  and then hit play.   

If you do it that way, it works as expected.   You just can't select a bot and make your first move as white anymore (unless you want the computer to choose your first move for you!).
