The lag is sad

I have perfect internet, perfectly constant 600 mbps fiber line with a constant latency of 4ms upload and 11 ms download. Everything runs perfectly on the Internet, except chess.com. My ping is 220 ms. Plus constant dropouts. Bullet is impossible this way. How can that be?

Basically every single game I have at least one drop of time, when I premove two moves and lose 6 seconds. I cannot even tell during the game, maybe it's much more frequent. But every other endgame I lose this way. Chess.com is in the US, I am in the UAE. I understand that there is a latency. BUT: I thought it's a worldwide platform, so I would expect chess.com to have servers on other places in the world than the US. AND: A high latency costs 0.2 seconds per move, it cannot explain the dropouts. I really prefer Chess.com to any other chess plattform in the world, and I want to play on this site. But I lack understanding for these technical issues. I was a platinum member for a long time. As long as the technical quality is bad like this, I cannot pay for this.

It is better when I don't use Chrome. But far from good.

You should check out the following to minimize issues.

Thank you for the information, I will give it a try.

As a fellow Indian, I can confirm to you that our Indian connection is anything but supportive of our bullet goals. This is inspite of having what is supposed to be the fastest internet connection plan. I still lose 0.6 seconds per premove. I've struggled with this garbage for years and the majority of my bullet losses are owed to discounts, time lag and random ping drops.

Just don't play bullet easy

So I can update: I did everything these support pages told me to do - and it is bad like it was before. When premoving every move I lose between 0.1 seconds (aha, so it is possible...) and 2 seconds. This cannot be explained with me being in the UAE and chess.com being a US based web service. I can play online shooters on US servers. The lag is an issue, I will not be good. BUT, I will just have the lag, and won't be 2 seconds behind. There is a massive issue with chess.com servers, in particular if you see that lichess does not have these issues, regardless of where you are in the world.

How lag is accounted for by different servers is going to be a huge factor. My understanding is Lichess allows all lag, so your not going to see issues there, games will just take longer to complete. Here, there's only a maximum amount allowed, the rest counts against your clock.
