timer warnings
Pretty annoying. We're not all bullet players, with 20 secs left there is no chance of winning. Please allow for earlier time warnings, its THE most annoying thing on the site as of now

When I'm up the exchange, and a pawn, in a clearly winning end game, I sometimes ask myself, "Why is my opponent not resigning? Is he enjoying this torture?" Usually it is because I'm down on time, and I don't realize it. Then I get the 20 second warning, and I notice my opponent has like 2 minutes on his clock. THAT'S why he didn't resign!! Will chess.com PLEASE give us a gentle chime for 2 minutes left, and another gentle chime for 1 minute left????????? How hard can it be??????? For all of the software that goes into running this site, this simple add-on would take less than an afternoon to write, and if most users don't want it, fine. Then let it be turned off by default, and people like me can go into the settings and turn it on. Otherwise, chess.com is promoting a chess culture that prioritizes flagging your opponent over beating him. That's not what chess culture should be. Beating your opponent should be prioritized over flagging him.

You can use a custom alert I developed for myself. Just follow the following steps:
1. download the following repository https://github.com/yashkanrish/Chess.com-low-time
2. Open google Chrome and go to Manage Extensions
3. Enable developer mode
4. Click 'Load Unpacked' and select the folder downloaded in step 1.
5. Ensure that 'Git Timer Help' Extension is enabled
Thats it you are good to go!
You will get one popup alert when you watch is less than 2mins and sound alerts each time you loose 1min and clock is less than 3mins.

I tried to follow instructions...
where is step 5 located? do i have to open chess.com to see it work?
can the alert times be adjusted, i play 3min games... a beep every 10 sec, with one min left, and a 10 sec count down?

@CaptBruce
I have made some changes and now you get warning beeps at 50 seconds, 40 seconds, 30 seconds and so on. In the Screenshot you can see how to enable the plugin. Step 5 is in Manager Extensions (You can google how to open that).Have fun!
PS: You will have to redownload the repository from Git.

its so frustating. i always loose bullet 1+0 cuz timer is to quiet and i miss noticing it. lichess isnt better. that suxx

For fast gameplay with increments, like a 2-minute game with 1-second increments, imagine a fast beeping sound, similar to the escalating beeps in submarines as a missile approaches its target.
As the timer ticks down, the beeps get closer and closer together until, at 0 seconds, it becomes a single continuous tone.
When you're making rapid moves and relying on those 1-second increments to stay in the game, it's easy to lose track of time. But with the beeping sound, you're constantly reminded of how much time remains without having to check the clock.
If you're accumulating extra seconds through quick moves, the sound reflects that. For instance, with 30 seconds left, you might hear one beep every 5 seconds; with 15 seconds left, it becomes two beeps every 5 seconds.
As the clock winds down to 0, the beeps happen with increasing frequency.
It would also be great to have the option to customize the beeping pattern by selecting a curve that defines how the beeps progress.
Chess boots Nora made in bug's when l have an possible Win. I need two muv for next muv. Then chess Nora stolen or broken the my favorite lance.
How put the print of the bug muv irregular?

I just created a free chrome extension for low time alerts.
It has:
- Custom low time notifications with a few different sounds
- Optional 5 second countdown
- Optional screen flash if you're hard of hearing
You can find it here: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/chesscom-low-time-alerts/ndfkkhkkmekhknheeoecnkogaodjecmd
Hopefully this is helpful for you
Can we PLEASE get more timer warnings than just the 20 second warning?????????? I can't count how many games I lost on time because I didn't think about the clock until the 20 second warning. The 20 second warning is useless anyway, because you are already going to lose on time if you have to rely on it. It would be helpful if a gentle ringing sound was made when you were down to one minute. I can work with one minute. I can't work with 20 seconds.
