Trouble Accepting Challenges

Whenever I get a challenge, I click on the challenge to try and accept it, but I get a message "Game Already Started" when it's clear that it hasn't.
When I go to daily chess manually, it's the same. Settings seem ok. This has happened with all of my challenges; I get around it by challenging them back and they can accept. Can't seem to find advice for it online. Am I missing something obvious?
