Turning off Auto Renewal

I looked up how to turn off auto renewal and only found the "go to account settings" recommendation. After going into my account page - none of the options seemed to have the option to turn off auto renewal.

I absolutely love the site - but unfortunately my financial situation dictates that I cannot continue paying at the moment. When things get better I'll be all over the platinum (or perhaps diamond) membership.

Thanks for your help!!

i'm playing as a free member right now and it's fine.  my guess is that in the setting on the bottom right there is something about purchases?  if not, you should email them directly.

https://support.chess.com/  should answer your questions, but i think the below like should directly allow you to opt out.

Notify your bank, and card company. Having insufficient funds at the time of billing will help too.  I say that because you don't have the option of turning off auto-renew, unless you notify chess.com in writing 30 days before your billing cycle.  If you address them through help & support, use, ATTENTION MATT.  He's in the billing dept.

Go to: Home/Account and then there should be a box at the top of the page telling you to 'click here' to cancel auto-renew.

none of the post above provide any help.

it looks like chess.com is a scummy as all other sites and have moved things around to make it hard to disable account renew.

I will cancel my CC and a big FU to chess.com

Are you saying the information in the following isn't correct?

You replied to a 10 year old topic and the site has changed the support pages a couple of times since then, so that first link isn't valid anymore
