I'm unable to castle queen's side on the analysis board or when playing against the computer. Yes,  I'v double checked; it would be legal in all cases. Anybody else run into this?

nope. I just tested it on analysis board for one of my games, and it works fine.

Placing the king on the C file? 

Not in check?

The squares between the king and rook cannot be under attack either.
