"user_name does not accept challenges below rating"

Some people cannot challenge me for daily games.

They get a message that "user_name does not accept challenges below rating"

I used to have a setting for live challenges that limited challenges to ratings, but nothing for daily challenges. There is no such setting for daily games. 
Even though I changed the setting on live challenges, the problem remains for daily challenges.

With a web browser:

Go to "Play > Play" and click on the gear symbol next to the chessboard.

Click on the Play tab. On the General tab you'll see incoming and outgoing rating ranges. These should apply for both daily and live chess.

Click the Save button.

I tried various settings and challenge ways, and it seems that the challenger must use Play-Play to create the challenge, and not Play-Daily chess.
Play-Daily Chess seems to remember the old settings of the member being challenged, and does not update to the new settings.

Also: In the newer Play-Play, the settings (in the gear at the top right of the board) for rating limits is a general setting for all games, and cannot be set different for live or daily settings. Also note that the settings at the bottom left of the screen, does not change the settings in the Play-Play settings!

You probably should send a bug report if you haven't already.

For now, if you're official friends on chess.com, the "Friends Can Challenge Me No Matter What" switch should ignore the rating difference.

I submitted a bug report, but

"Bug reports are not member trackable once submitted and generally speaking, you won't be contacted about it unless more information is needed."

Try changing in general settings on chess.com

The only general settings on chess.com I know of is in Play - Play - (gear icon top right) - Play - General, and that is where I was, and why I can report that the normal settings, Bottom left - settings - all settings - live chess does not update these settings. Another way to reach the normal settings is Home - settings - live chess (Daily chess has no rating setting), and take you to the same normal settings. If you know of another place to set the rating limits for incoming challenges - please let me know.

did u try going to settings under home? there is a live chess option there which controls who can challenge you there i think
