Old name?
Username changed automatically

Someone has changed my username in this horrible one, and I'm not able to change it any more. They are forcing me to create a new account. I just want my username back. When i try to change it a message appers: "Contact the support team". But there is no support team to contact.
There are username guidelines and if your username is considered against those rules, it can be changed by staff

To contact Support you need to use the Help option in the menu. While they should allow you to select a new username, it's highly unlikely they'll give you back your old one

My old username didn't contain foul language.
My old username didn't contain sexual terms.
My old username wasn't racist.
My old username was not violent.
My old username wasn't sexist.
So i didn't violate any guideline and they committed an abuse by changing it.

You left off part of the restrictions:
- We also do not allow politically motivated names (such as political parties or party leaders), or names which may cause religious offence.

My old username didn't contains the name of any political party leader.
My old username didn't offend any religion.
Also, my old username didn't contain the name of any famous chess players, neither of any staff member or moderator.
So they committed an abuse by changing it and they must give me it back.

Support can take the username plus other listed profile information (name, status, bio) to make the determination of the username crossed into disallowed territory.
That said, posting here won't help. You'll need to use the Help option to contact support to discuss. That said, I'm pretty sure they won't allow the old username.

I repeat, i didn't violate any guidaline. Instead, i found in a few minutes lots of accounts violating those guidalines. For example, what about the account https://www.chess.com/member/putin_puppet, using the name of the Russia president? He is registered since 2020 and none has touched his username. If they won't give me back my username i'll be forced to recreate it using another email address, and this is stupid and crazy. I think you are involved in this. If you are, you are a very poor man.

There are over 170 million accounts so there are going to be names that are against the guidelines that haven't been seen by staff and haven't yet been reported.
In regards to creating a new account with the same username, assuming it wasn't added to the disallowed list, then it's highly likely that if the account is seen or reported then both accounts will be closed.

Myself wrote to Steve Wanton, am having this nickname since 1986.
Myself was born with this name long before, kid, he told me ;-)
