Tell them its an offensive username. They would likely agree, mumble a bit but let you change it.

Also sounds like want to go back to original name, so it may not be such a big deal but I not sure :)
Write to help and support and explain your issue. They are very accomodating if you have a good reason. Also tell them exactly what it is you want your username to appear as. Give them a few names just in case the other ones are already taken.

I'd say keep it, if you want to be known by more people on chess.com. I only came to this thread because I saw ur username on the forums, thought it was pretty interesting, went to your profile, and saw this thread under Recent Activity.

Give them their 24 hours to respond, I have found them to be pretty reasonable. If they do not help you out there may be other avenues...
You will be ok I said a stupid joke here on chess.com not to long ago. Got band by the team. Friends know my heart and know I am a good person and care for every one here on chess.com. And I did not mean any thing againts any one. It was just a joke I heard. yes it was wrong? My friends still like me and know I am a good person. Thank you Richard! Your words are appreciated. I have hope my name can be fixed if not I do it the hard way and fix it myself. Just didint want to lose all my games, groups, and friends. I am lazy. Lol and it would take forever to get my account the way it is now. Sigh... *Pulling my hair out*
Matthew Alexander: I am going to upgrade soon. I think chess.com should make it a benefit to paid members to have to option to change their use username more than once. Something to think about... Lol. Thanks again.
Ok. I accidentally changed my username from sabinemarks to Guys_are_gross. Supposed to be a funny joke but the jokes on me cuz I just discovered after I did that you can only change your username once. I want to change it back again. Please! Any help. I don't want to close and delete me account and join chess.com again cuz I will lose all my friends, groups, and games. So anyway this can be fixed? I contacted chess.com and they said it would be 24 hours before they could get back to me. And people I have been talking to said they never change your username back. Wow! I thought maybe if I became a paid member but even the paid membership you cannot change your username but once. I think chess.com should make that a benefit of upgrading. Please if anybody can help me out I would appreciate it. I want to be sabinemarks. This really sucks cuz nowhere where and when I changed my username did I see that you could only do it once.
