The names are the same on both.
users auto-generated by a program?
Sorry, double posted the image by mistake. Fixed.
The z_, x_, w_ prefixes on multiple accounts created around the same time isn't fishy?

It does feel like a bot is generating accounts - spammers have done that in the past to advertise their stuff, but I think the site has implemented some measures to prevent that, so maybe the spammers just give up when they find they can’t post the stuff they want to. Is there anything in their profile description? It wouldn’t be Chess.com creating these accounts - they’ve already got enough work in their plate
Didn't check. Was hoping staff would do the leg work. Just happened to notice this when looking for someone impersonating me in multiple accounts.

Hey @idilis,
Thank you for raising your concern, much appreciated.
We do encourage to report if a member looks suspicious, however please note that there is also other reasons.
Some accounts looks similar due to 3rd party registration systems; for example, Apple Arcade, Google Play, Xbox Live can randomly generating a username on platforms in the gaming industry. Most username generators use adjective+noun ( ex. GiantTortoise, PurpleNotebook, etc) , and any human can replicate this behavior. Long story short, such usernames could just be human players that choose random but similar sounding usernames, or it could be because of how they signed up.
This is not directly related to Chess.com but across multiple games systems for instance like "Apple Arcade", "Google Play" and "Xbox Live" for example can automatically choose a gamer tag/username for you. These may look similar and take on the form as what you had in your screenshot.
I hope this helps and thanks for your contribution
Regards
Richard
