Time spent per move in seconds.
Cheers!
LOL me too... I thought it was an evaluation, the longer I tried to find the best move the worse it looked
Lol I looked here and previously I thought that the higher the number on the bar the better the move.
Don't think that is correct (if we are looking at the same thing). Just finished a game with moves for me and the other player that I know took at most 1 second, but the bar/number shows 12 or 18. Can't be.

The bars at the right side of the moves absolutely are the calculated time taken per move after allowed lag is taken into account.
Also thought it was kind of assesment of the last move, till I got a longer bar after an awful move. Thanks for the clarification!

why did you make the move if you knew it was bad
Well, as quite some chess players, I only realised it was a bad move after doing it. Lucky (or smart) you if you never experienced this !
what about the bar on the side that goes up and down? what does that mean
If you're watching another player's game or are in Analysis, https://support.chess.com/article/656-what-do-the-computer-evaluation-numbers-mean-like-225
Knighter1776: In the left Pane, I see three numbers: On the first line a 4 to the right of “Chess.com”. That means I am playing 4 games simultaneously. On the third line, a 2 to the right of the word “Play”. That means that it is my move on two of the four games I am playing.
But I am stumped on the second line. It has an 8 to the right of the work “Home”. What does the 8 mean?
what is the number in the moving bar at end of game,,it cant be seconds for a move because sometimes it says m2 etc ( which i know is 2 moves to checkmate)
what is the 4.1 etc all about?

The game notation page on the new website has numbers and bars that change with each move made.
What do they mean?
Thanks.
