Why does the site usually not let me rejoin a VC once I've left it?

Recently, I was planning on leaving the site so I left all the vote chess games I was playing in. I then, later, changed my mind and decided to stay on the site. There's a particular match I want to rejoin, but there's a message saying, "You quit this game and cannot rejoin." SOMETIMES it'll have a button for me to rejoin, but it's USUALLY this message whenever I leave a vote chess game. Why does it do this?

I've never been able to rejoin a game once I left. I think it's so you can't join from the other side to get an unfair advantage or something.

With the game I want to rejoin, I'm not in the other club and never have been in the other club. I did have an unaccepted join request, but that was because the club was someone's private club and they were collecting join requests for fun. I cancelled the request and it still says I can't rejoin.

You need to elaborate because it's impossible to cheat as I was not in the opposing club when I left, and I never joined it. HOW IS THIS CHEATING?!

Um because that's the rule. You can easily use an engine to see what the best move is...

1. I would never use an engine.

2. I left the VC. Later, I decided I wanted to rejoin the VC (from the same side I was on, and again, I'M NOT IN THE OPPOSING CLUB AND NEVER HAVE BEEN) and continue to play. In place of the "Join" (or in this case, "Rejoin) button, there is a message saying "You quit this game and cannot rejoin." How does this anything to do with cheating?

The top club is the one I joined from, and the one I've always been in. The other is on the bottom only because it's playing as white. As I have stated several times, I am not in the bottom club and have never been in the club.

I don't know what the deal is with the other club, I'm very confused.

You said me not being able to rejoin has something to do with cheating, did you not? In what why can it be cheating if I leave and then rejoin?

Before this site releases new versions, they should really beta test it. Find out if the layouts are actually useful, and then check bugs like this. This site has way too many problems.

Well, it's a big site. The bigger the more bugs there will be.

That's why you beta test it, you don't just release to the masses. I would be more than happy to be part of beta testing, but leave the older version accessible until you work out the bugs. That is actually how beta testing is supposed to done.

I still want an answer to my question...

Chess.com doesn't care about clubs and so to protect from potential abuse of the system, they just make it impossible to rejoin so you can't cheat.

It's faster than coding something else that would be better.

By the way? The above is basically the answer to any question that boils down to "why does chess.com club ui suck"
