Why my messages are not being deleted anymore?

Why my messages are not being deleted when I click on "Select All" and then click on "Delete" nothing happens anymore? It used to work before but now nomore. Can someone tell me what is happening?

Hello Jamie,

I’m very sorry for the inconvenience, we recently had to make some changes to the messaging system in preparation for the new site version release. Messages for the time being will not be shown as deleted but they will auto-delete once the messaging system is integrated completely. Everything will go back to normal when v3 is released :)

I’m recalling now that I responded to you in the forums!

What I didn’t tell you in the forums is the auto-deletion, so anything you “delete” now, will just poof away when it’s updated :)

                            What's happening ??    Those are the 1st symptoms of being un-dead.    According to us, all your messages HAVE been deleted.  Are you still seeing them ??    Oh, this may be worst than I feared.  Stay right there, I'll get the doctor.

Now I only see the option to archive the messages. The "Delete" button has completly disapered and the messages keep piling up. Can someone from the chess.com support team help? Thank you.

I see your explanation to Jamie. However, my problem is that the "Delete" button in the messages has completely disappeared and I have no option to even mark them as deleted. The messages keep piling up with the only option to archive them. I don't want to archive them, I want to delete them. Can you give some help, please? You say that the new site version v3 is going to be released, but do you know when is that going to happen? My messages box keep growing bigger and bigger as time goes by. I will really appreciate any help you guys can bring. Thank you.

Thank goodness everything is back to normal after over 600 messages in my inbox. Thanks to the support team of chess.com, whoever did it. You guys are doing a good job. I gess the new site version v3 is already in place. I'm I wright or wrong about that? Anyway, Thanks again!
