First thing to always try when Chrome gets funny is to clear your cache. They tell you to clear your cookies and your cached images and files in this article, but I just clear the images and files.
Wrong display of pieces - only chrome?

When playing games using chrome sometimes figures are covered by an irregular bitmap as shown in the images below:
Usually almost the whole piece is covered. in rare cases only a part is covered as shown below (the black knight):
The coverage occurs occasionally even when nothing else happens. I can make a move with the covered piece but as long as the move is not finished (that is the mouse button is still pressed) the coverage remains. After moving the piece (that is moving the figure to a valid place and releasing the mouse button) the coverage of this piece disappeares (only the coverage of this piece disappears but other coverages are not affected and remain). Without moving (or capturing) a piece the coverage will not disappear.
How can I change this behaviour?
