Wtf is this new "show images and links" option in private msgs

Seriously it's infuriating. I can't tell if there's an image or link someone's left in a msg to me so i have to click that stupid button for all the msgs and then realise there wasn't ever any photos or links in that msg.

Whats the point of this option? How exactly does it work?

However, it's a safety feature to hopefully prevent some drive-by abuse of sending inappropriate images to random members. It gives the member a chance to ignore it if they don't want to chance a message from an unknown member.

Well it's made the situation worse, because i get many msgs from friends with that option there, and when i click it nothings there.

This is a terrible feature.

If it's not supposed to be there if no image or link is in that msg, then the feature was made terribly.

You shouldn't get it from members on your friend's list, but there is a bug that is being worked on regarding that.

i shouldn't be getting that option if theres no link or image in the msg in the first place.

It shoud have nothing to do with whether they are friends with me or not.

As I said, there's a bug in the feature that is being fixed. 

the entire feature is bugged.

chess.coms got so much money, they carefully plan out events and make setup for GM and those stupid pogchamp tournaments, but can't introduce a new feature for the site without any bugs.
