clock just stops

Lately in some games the clock just stops when my opponent is on the move (he didnt resign or anything). The game then just continues but i can't see it and i will eventually loose on time... i tried to click anything for the game to continue and found out the only way that the moves refresh is to offer a draw (then the clock jumps down by the amount it was frozen and continues). However i dont want to offer a draw in a winning position but its the only way the clock continues. Otherwise it takes the amount of time i have left on the clock and i then loose... anyone experienced something similar?

I have full 5G net on my phone so lag can't really be

That has happened to me multiple times over the last few days.  My phone has had a full signal when it happened and my opponent was also experiencing problems.

This happens to me almost daily, opponents move, clock stops, the only way I can see his move is to offer a draw. Was 1 move away from mate and the clock stopped, waited 2 minutes and then offered the draw, of course he accepted

This is an IOS issue on the app. When I realise, I switch to the main site on safari. Which is no use in a blitz game. Someone suggested reinstalling the app. That didn’t work for me.

I use PC with Windows (with good connection. not using Wifi) and also had these kind of problems.

Lag.com strikes again. Bullet is unplayable. Bilichess works fine meanwhile.

This literally is happening to me rn. So I figured to come to the forums and what yall have to say about the issue (while his clock is not moving and it's his turn to move).

If the clock stops, that can indicate a connection issue to the live server process. I would normally refresh in that instance.

Help! My clock and my opponents clock stops. I close the page on my Android and then log back in to continue the game, but this wastes 20 to 30 seconds of my clock time and makes it extremely difficult to win a 10 minute game!! Thanks Chess.com ... you owe me over 200 points now and counting..

What is your app version? You might uninstall and reinstall and see if that helps.

Thanks Martin. I installed the newest app and am playing again under a new account. You're the Best!

I got a lot of this also. This is a pity for such a extraordinary app and site.
