Also, I forgot to tell you that I get the white pieces more or less half the time! Can you believe it? This is just unbearable. I think I could play white a maximum of 20% of the games, otherwise I may get mad soon.
I don't want to play with the white pieces.

so black has an advantage cos they know your first move , chess has so many openings why play the same old well trod one do something different as white and leave black thinking grrrr id prepared for 1 d4 not 1 knf3

Rating is based on a fair ~50/50 ratio between white and black.
Thus you got no solution just because there is none.

Yeah, you're right, I didn't deserve such a useful comment...
I am just fed up. The matching algorithm in this website is just utter rubbish. I keep getting the white pieces, and I am just tired of this nonsense. It seems to me that my opponents are given an unfair advantage. They know what I played so they can react properly. As white, I am in zugzwang and, no matter the move I play, I will be making concessions to black. Also, the black pieces look better than the white ones, so, apart from the psychological advantage of not having to decide first, my opponent also has an aesthetic advantage. It is just unfair, if this is not solved properly, I may leave the website. Chess is interesting, but having the white pieces is just taking all the fun of it.
