Also if you leave the top game on it wont work.
No sound in Live Chess
I'm using the latest Firefox + latest flash on Windows 7. I start playing a game with the sound working and then it suddenly stops working. Once the problem occurs I cannot get any sound in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Also if I start iTunes, it reports a problem in my audio configuration and I get no sound. If I exit Firefox the sound starts working again.
Is anybody at chess.com paying attention to this?

Some problems with audio service in Windows 7 and Firefox as of last Firefox update to v34. Easy answer is to use a different browser to play chess online. Try Opera

Exactly the same here. I am not willed to go to Chrome for good reasons. I think chess.com should work properly on IE and/or Firefox. Was thinking about a premium Membership, but this BUG really disturbes heavily the chess playing. Kind regards

I too, have no sound. But this problem is only on my iPad. Chess.com works as it should on my macbook pro (through safari), but I like to play on my iPad sometimes and the live chess server never has sound (when I play through safari on iPad) but when I use the app on the iPad everything works as it should. I just like the interface through the web browser better than the app. Just didn't know if others had this issue or had a fix as well. Thanks everyone! Sorry I'm not able to offer advice on the matter.

Inernet Explorer: some sound problems. Google chrome: it works very well. So I have installed Google chrome as my second browers to play on chess.com. You don't have to switch your main browser, use a second browser.

Same problems for me. I am getting intermittent sound not working using Firefox and playing live chess. Very annoying to say the least. I didn't realize how important the sounds of the moves were important to me until I tried playing without sound.

Eb_orange, I too am having the same sound issues. This seems to happen for me at fast time controls. Sometimes the sound just quits completely. I was restarting my whole system to fix it but found a fast way to fix it. I am not sure how this works on an iMAC but for any other members having the same problem this is an easy fix. For me, I am using firefox/windows vista. So I hit the start button and type services.msc then when it opens I scroll to windows audio, right click and then restart. This restarts audio without having to reboot the entire computer. Then I just minimize that window as the sound will fail again at some point and re-do the process. This has been happening for quite a while and is very annoying, Chess.com is the only site where I lose sound.

Sounds work in Chrome but not in Safari and Opera Browsers. The flash is updated and I don't know how to do. I prefer Opera or Safari because I have less bugs and crashes while playing. Somebody fixed the problem? Tnx
Depends on the computer I use. At home, no sound. At work, sound.
