Unfortunately people will abuse this option in my view.
Pausing live games

lets say someone needs to take a phone call and sends a request to his opponent for a 3 minute pause. maybe even communicate it first via chat, or the request could have an "reasoning-section" where the person requesting adds a short message as a reason.
"Sorry friend, i really need to take this call"
.....quickly sets up board position on a chess engine.
In certain cases a pause in a live game is really needed. I understand that simply adding the option to do so could be abused a lot, just like turning on vacation mode during long time games. But what if it was like a request you can send your opponnent? like a remis both sides would have to aggree before the game gets paused.
lets say someone needs to take a phone call and sends a request to his opponent for a 3 minute pause. maybe even communicate it first via chat, or the request could have an "reasoning-section" where the person requesting adds a short message as a reason. after aggreeing to pausing the game the timer starts, clearly visible on the screen. to prevent abuse even further the screen could turn black to hide the board and only show the timer.
