Pawn promoted automatically to queen. But shouldn't it not let me choose?

Okay. I am fairly new to chess.com. I really like this site.

I was playing Live Chess with an opponent. Where when I was in for a pawn promotion. It automatically promoted itself to a queen.

I would like to know why did it automatically promote to a queen? Shouldn't it not allow me to select from either a queen, rook, knight or bishop?

When I play at other chess sites or even Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition (PC) or even the mobile chessmaster version. It always lets me select from either a queen, rook, knight or bishop.

But in my case this promotion option did not come. It automatically promoted itself to a queen.

Does anyone know the reason for this, or is that how chess.com made the system?

• Click settings in the top-right corner of the live chess page
• Go to the "Moves" tab
• Uncheck the checkbox for "Always queen on promotion"

Yeah now I got it. I should've known that. But now I know. I unchecked the box for automatic queen promotion.
