i don't think there is a setting like that
Show arrows and highlights to opponent for teaching chess

If you are a platinum or diamond member, you can create a live analysis board to which you can invite other members.

A few of my chess.com friends also have Discord. Have you tried giving your friend a voice call there? You can literally "share your screen" so that you both can be talking and they can see your arrows etc. I've used this many times for teaching people chess and Discord is a free option for you. The drawback is that they can't draw arrows themselves.
However, if you are a premium member on chess.com (I don't know which membership level unlocks this feature), then the "classroom feature" is like this but on chess.com AND you both can set it up to draw arrows or change the position if you want. https://www.chess.com/classroom This classroom feature is a newer one which I don't think existed back in 2019 when you created this thread.

Hi,
I'd like to teach chess in a live game to my friend. It would be beneficial if I could draw arrows and highlight fields so that my friend is able to see them. For now I only figured out how I can draw arrows for myself (see screenshot below).
I was wondering if there is a setting so that my opponent/friend can also see my arrows or highlights that I am drawing on the board in a live chess game. If this is not possible on chess.com, can someone recommend another platform to do this?
Thanks in advance for help!
