Speed Chess Loophole for Dishonest Players

In this game, knowing the given rules for rating changes, it can be recommendable to play
3.Nc3!, because after 3...Bxg2 (hoping for 4...Bxh1) 4.Bxg2!, resigning will affect the ratings.

Who cares? Its a 1 min game. Bullet is kind of a dumb novelty variant in my opinion. I think of it like "underwater chess" or "completely blindfolded chess", or maybe even "set me on fire and see how long I can play" chess.

1 minute chess is a bit like crack - it feels good and is fun, but it's not good for your brain in any way. But I admit that I'm a bit addicted. Until I can attend a local SCA (speed chess anonymous) meeting I'll probably keep playing.
But I could see the scenario I mentioned above happening with low rated players in a blitz game who make an early blunder and then resign. It's unlikely to happen with higher rated players, but maybe late at night when everyone is tired it is also possible.

Well, he ofter tries to win a game by premove tricks, I like the one where he took the opponent's queen.
Probably a lot of people are premoving a fianchetto opening and he tries to grab a bishop and/or rook.
Sometimes this ends like in your case, if opponents are careful with premoving, or if they play something other than he anticipated

And I disagree that using a loophole is dishonest, IMO the whole premove bullet thingy is so funny
I learned that from the games I just saw, thank you BigNose.
Honestly, it is up to chess.com to correct it, so ratings would be adjusted even for those games.

exactly. the same can just about be said about anything under 10 minutes, but bullet is the most ridiculous. some people take internet bullet and blitz way way way too seriously. it doesn't really mean much, have much significance. at all.
There is a very interesting loophole that some less honest players are using to annoy opponents. Since many 1-minute game players use pre-move, especially in the opening, it is sometimes possible to make a crazy move in the hopes that the other player will have pre-moved and will leave themselves open to an easy piece.
So there seems to be a rule that if a game has less than 3 moves then there is no rating adjustment. So some players make a crazy move very early on and then resign and do not have their rating go down. Like this game:

After this game my rating and my opponent's rating did not change even though I clearly won. I checked out my opponents profile and he seems to do this type of thing often.
In order to prevent this from happening I think if an opponent resigns at any point there should be a rating adjustment. Anyone else have an opinion on this?
Thanks,
BigNose
