White won by abandonment

Can someone explain what happened in this game of mine? I thought I was doing great but suddenly it says White won by abandonement. I still have 19.16 left on my clock and I didn’t get a notification about no internet connection. It was my opponents turn/white to move, and I was just sitting, staring at the game, waiting for him to move.

Temporary disconnect and you didn't get his move.  Generally It's a good idea to refresh the page if your opponent seems to be taking too long.  Oh, if you're on Apple, apparently there's a bug and you need the newest version of the app (or so I've read).  There's an article which might help.

Might be something here that can help...

Thanks. I am using Apple but with chromebrowser. You can see in the finished game that he never moved. That is what confuses me.

Any idea how long the timeout is?

What's hard for folks to understand is that there are actually 3 clocks and 3 records of the game.  Yours, your opponents, and the the chess.com's servers.  I think you know which is the only one that counts.  You'd think they'd send your opponent's last move to update the game when they tell you you've lost by abandonment, but apparently they don't.  Wish I knew more about how this stuff actually works, but I've given it my best shot.  I've read that wifi is a common culprit in disconnects though and some folks have had to go back to a wired connection.  Best of luck!

I would understand if the opponent moved and it just isn’t showing in my browser because of lag. But here my opponent havent moved. As you can see in the finished game, the last move is mine. Thank you for your effort.

And the finished game also says I still have more than 19 minutes left.

So if I am one of those who understands, this means that the record on the chess.com server always show the latest valid move, right? So this also means that Zapir loses this game even though it's the opponent's turn, or what?

But that's weird. This means that losing the connection loses the game, even for long games and even if the opponent also loses the connection.

I think...

Yes it looks like it.
