Is anybody here from Boston? I wondered how much audience there would be for a chess tournament in Medford on a Saturday or something like that.

I live in Charlestown and would be down for in-person games! I am roughly an 1100 but will play any level. I sent some game requests out to the people in this group as well.

Do people still play in Harvard Square?

Not as far as I know. Medford Chess Club still meets on Saturdays at 1 pm here or at the Medford Public Library. I haven't been for a bit, but I'll be there today. If it's not there, check in front of the Medford Burial Ground, right across from CVS.

If anyone is on the North Shore or is up to travel, I started the Peabody Chess Club. It is every Wednesday Night, at 6pm. We meet at the Knights of Columbus (96 Main St, Peabody, MA). As of now, it is come and go and we typically have about 30-40 people attending, ranging from kids to adults. It is free to join. Message me with any questions.
