Please be relevant, helpful & nice!

I don't know how to solve it so please help to mate black in 2 moves!!

Not possible for me, also there's a huge material advantage for black.

Black is threatening to capture white's bishop and knight if white moves queen, and queen can't give checks in one move.

This leads me to think that is impossible for white to win without massive blunders from black side.

Cheers ;-)

I think this is a major fail from the poster.

If this is a normal mate in 2 puzzle, there is no solution, pretty sure of that. But, if this is a helpmate in 2 puzzle (black assists white in the checkmate), there is at least one solution: 1. Nxd7 c4 2. Qxc4#

well done uncia for seeing the helpmate in 2 moves ...this must be the solution-black would be mated in 2

There are so many helpmates but I cant seem to find a checkmate in 2. I have pitted multiple chess engines against each other. None have found a White wins answer and certainly not in 2 moves. I have tried the position against myself as well.

Well, technically the poster says "checkmate Black in two moves"; nobody says Black defends against the checkmate. I think the helpmate solution is what's expected.

I cannot find a different helpmate though besides 1. Nxd7 c4 2. Qxc4#. Fireball571, you said "many helpmates"; is there more?

Just put the position in Popeye and it only found that one helpmate in 2, so I doubt there are others. And, as the problem appears to be sound as a helpmate, it most likely is a helpmate.

chessredpanda
