Nice. I did not get it.
Grandmaster chess puzzle! white to play and the position is drawn!

this puzzle sucked just move the king to attack the rook
The rook is safe from attack no matter what black does.
The White king protects g1, g2, g3.
The white knight protects g4, g8
The white pawn protects g6.
That only leaves g5 and g7 for the black king to attack. The only way for the black king to do that is to move to f4 or f6 since the knight guards f5 and f7. All the white rook has to do is move to g4 or g6 where it is safe and continues the perpetual check.

i got it just by moving the knight to every possible square =D so i got it in like 6 goes (i wouldn't have got it if you didn't give the solution)

i dont think you understand the position or the puzzle, maybe you should analyse the position before you critisize it, i didnt know that people rated 1256 were so good at analysing and rejecting puzzles...

Theres a rule when solving these kind of puzzles: Click on every piece and every square they can move to until one of them make sense!
Unfortunately, this one is an exception, because apparently none of the moves, even the correct one, made any sense to me! : )
If it wasn't for your commentaries, I'd be pulling my hair out to try to figure out what the '!!' is for.

black takes pawn and wins after exchange of rooks
what? after 1. Nh6!! Rxa2? it will be perpetual as i will not exchange rooks,

Amazing key move to this puzzle. So, you do not know the author?
Thanks for the share.
There is a write up about this on chessbase about the position and stories about how the grandmasters couldnt solve it.

You have to let the depth of the engine get to 21. Depth 16 is soooo bad
This is a story very much like the one around Gijs van Breukelen's famous study. There is usually 1 genius GM around who is said to have solved it quickly. Don't recall who it was this time so let's go for Tal again. Always a favorite. The actuial study starts earlier but this is the critical position and the next move is stunning! Not as hard for modern engines as for those of the previous century!
Btw, the move 1. ... Rh4+? deserves no question mark as it gives away nothing. The position was already a draw after white's stunning first move and that does not change after black's reply!
Here is a fairly unknown chess puzzle , it was passed around some very popular GM tournaments to players rated 2700+, and after analysing it for 5 mins they couldnt solve it! Can you?
Afterwards see move list for other variations
