Interesting puzzle, but VERY impractical. IMO, a good puzzle should be positionally-based with a realistic position that would likely be found during a game to be of any practical benefit. This looks to be more "synthetic". I usually stay away from these as a rule myself because they would NEVER occur in a game. If 90% of Black's pieces are on the board like this, and white is sitting up like this also, they should have called the game long ago!
Actually, this is an IMPOSSIBLE position for either to be in (esp. Black!) - the pieces CANNOT be in this configuration as the pawn structure is not possible if one is to have the bishops sitting where they are. Not interested, in impossible positional puzzles...
Not being mean, just telling it like it is. A chess "Rubik's cube" serves a very limited function.
Call me old, too traditional, whatever, but that is what I see. sorry...

Are these to be mate in 1 or 2? Just asking...

They have to be "play to win".
#10 is an old standard endgame technique.
#11 is a cute escape square interference
#12 is a cute blockage
Why not we make something more innovative in puzzles so that players can make safe moves in games? Different topics?
