Multiple solutions

I've run across so many puzzles that only allow one solution but pass up a better position. I know that the puzzles are created by an engine, but shouldn't the engine allow for secondary possibilities? When doing analysis of a live game, chess.com shows better, best, excellent, brilliant, so why are the puzzles so myopic with a single solution?

I've noticed this as well, it has driven me crazy when I can either checkmate with my bishop or my queen, but the system only accepts a queen check mate.

I was playing a 2000 rated puzzle this morning and the correct solution had me take the computers knight instead of an unprotected queen???? It didn't offer a better solution or a checkmate so I can't figure out why that was the correct answer.

It was most likely a positional advantage that that only a 2000 rated player would see, but I agree, it is frustrating.

The puzzles are not created by an engine but the good ones are verified by an engine. The guilty party is always the OP posting the puzzle. If a puzzle cannot be solved by the standard requirements (like unambiguity) then you shouldn't post it as a puzzle but as an interesting game fragment.
