You shouldn't call it a mate in 30 unless you can prove that black mates in 30 against any white defense.

The infamous "Game of the Century"
This game is a classic example of how checkmate could have been landed with 30... Ba3 instead of Rc2. Either way, there was no escape square for the white king.
