The finest composer ever?

His problems are always, difficult, surprising and witty.

I'll post one or two, and if it's popular, I'll do more, I have about 300.

Lloyd is really great, but the most "finest" should be Troitskij - he is even greater by most factors. Look for his best creations, if you like such things, you will never regret your spended time.

Ah, different strengths.

Troitski is the best in studies, Loyd in mate in x type problems...

BTW, it's Loyd with only 1 L Cool

What a hilarious solution!

bugoobiga

one of sam loyd's (and I've seen both spellings) best puzzles is not chess related...the one with two jockeys, two horses. amazing

bugoobiga

the 15 puzzle: is that the one where you switch the 14 and 15, and then try to put it back to 1 through 15, on a 4 x 4 board?

That one swept across the lands the way the rubik's cube did in the 1980s.

Lord-Chaos

i got the 2nd one in one go randomly, i just moved the Queen to check the king and it worked =D amazing (by me of course)

Lord-Chaos

but doesn't it have to be Queen check, or this happens?

The full solution is in the move list...
