24 or 32 cards ? (Euchre, card game)

Which is better and why ? (for 4 players) I have always played with 32 cards. Is there more skill involved with the 24 and is it a more 'modern' version of it ?

32 card Euchre

In some places the 8s and 7s are included in the pack as the lowest cards in each suit, making a pack of 32 or 33 cards. This makes it more uncertain whether the high cards are in play. I am told that 32 card Euchre is the usual version in New Zealand. Also there are a few people in the USA who still play this way.

52 card pick up is one of my faves.

I played 52 card pickup once, only once.

Thanks a lot Dad!!!!!

For some reason, this is the only card I can think of

24. But I went to college with a ton of people who played "double deck" (bid) Euchre.

Is this one of the busted gifs you were mentioning?

24 Cards would be better, with 24 cards only 3 are not in play, with 32 there are 11 that are not in play. This would probably lead to far more hands not being played as the good cards (Jacks & Aces) could mostly reside in the kitty. I don't think anyone in the US plays with 32 cards anymore anyways.
