Keto's better, but vegan/vegetarian will also work, as long as you do the necessary vitamins/minerals/fatty acids supplementation. :-)
You've all seen them. In addition to the ubiquitous keto gummy scam posts, we also get a good number of posts for skin tag removers. I'm not sure, but my guess is that the skin tag remover offers are just more scams like the keto gummies.
But, even if you go to your local pharmacy and buy some of that over-the-counter acid solution to burn off the skin tags (which never really worked for me) or you go to your dermatologist to get them burned off with liquid nitrogen, you're not fixing the cause of the problem - You're only treating the symptom.
Before I went on my keto diet, I was obese, and I was constantly getting skin tags. I'd go to my dermatologist and get the skin tags burned off, but they'd just grow back over time. After I'd been on my keto diet for a period of time, I suddenly realized one day that my skin tags had simply disappeared. They were gone. After a little research, I found that the cause of skin tags is chronic insulin resistance. Of course, many obese people also have insulin resistance, so it made perfect sense that I had skin tags when I was obese.
So, when I went on my diet, I got rid of my insulin resistance, and my skin tags went away. Therefore, any diet that eliminates insulin resistance (keto, vegan, vegetarian, etc.) will solve your skin tag problem by dealing with the *cause* of the problem, the solution being greatly reducing your intake of sugar and highly processed carbs.
