No, the game is still going. There may be, say, 12 minutes left on each side. But when one side has lost, they just don’t move. They know I have 12 minutes to sit there and fume over them not making a move. That is, they have abandoned the game. Someone who leaves an active game. They did not resign, they just walked away leaving the opponent to wallow away with the time.
ABANDONED GAMES ARE PISSING ME OFF!!!!

Plenty of things to do in internet while waiting for time to expire. Check social media accounts, watch short YouTube, browse news, sports, etc.
Why is it that people lose and they must then abandon the game? It’s an unnerving process.
Or, why does the auto-resign countdown clock NEVER COME ON when it needs to come on? Why does that clock disappear after having countdowned a couple minutes?
The auto+resign countdown clock is part of the answer. When it works, it works welll. But it doesn’t work half the time. Or it never comes on at all.
Is there a way for players to trigger the auto-resign clock? That way, some pressure could be put on the other side to either move or lose.
