I have a habit of saying things were better back in the day(the 70's and 80's)
and I think old cartoons and album art can't be denied.
Flirtin With Disaster by Molly Hatchet and The Grand Illusion by Styx are
two of my favorite album covers.
What are some of the other great old album covers?

The first album that I ever bought on my own at 12 when I started playing the guitar, was Jimmy Hendrix's 'axis bold as love'. Didn't have a clue what I was doing, just knew that this guy was meant to be a great guitarist.

Picked that album in particular just because of it's mental album cover. Still one of my favourites now. Used to purposely miss the bus to school to walk and listen to it.

Great deal of luck, because the rest of his albums (owned them all, and listened proper) are quite crap.

Funny how life works.

Cheers, really great and special album. Don't know how to post pics yet, and there isn't anything really on Youtube surprisingly.

In terms of artwork, we lost more than half the space available when CDs replaced LPs. Some great album art was out there. Santana's Black Magic Woman is one of my favourites:
