I don't have a credit card or PayPal account. And my parents will never let me activate the diamond account. I want to watch lessons on chess.com. Please please someone gift me a Diamond membership.

Rancid-Knight

Only if you gift me one back...

Ask your parents to buy a chess book. They might be more happy to purchase that

Can you suggest to me some books on pattern recognition. I am about 1000 rated on rapid.

You can watch the videos for free as long as you don't do the exercises. Check this site for some free books. Not going to have the latest but they have a good selection. The book I already finished is here and what I did was make a study out of the book here and here. Should give you some ideas of starting an opening repertoire.

Also, you don't need the diamond membership. You can do most things with Lichess for free.

I heard of a new thing. You Tube. I'm told you can find loads of stuff there.

You get quite a lot on chess.com for free - use your puzzles everyday, and of course the forums.

As other posters have said, make use of youtube to get some very good video lessons: GM Finegold, IM Levy Rozman, IM Eric Rosen, GM Simon Williams (aka Ginger GM), St Louis Chess club, Chess Club Atlanta.

I have just named English language sites here, but also don't forget, there are vids in other languages AND if there is something you don't understand in an English vid, there are plenty of people on this forum who will help.

I'll give you Diamond for 12 hours.
