Don't worry no one will ban you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

They don’t lock these anymore I believe

I’m starting to do lichess more because I’ve been having so much connection problems lately. I’ve contacted support but I haven’t been able to fix it based on what they said. Lichess works great and never loses connection.
7uckyshot

how long is Lichess operating?

For serious competitive play, especially for strong players it's better to play on chess.com, ratings are more similar to FIDE in comparison to Lichess, much stronger opposition here on chess.com

More title players on chess.com as well

For me personally if I want to study analyze something it's Lichess with free database , and if I want to play serious games with strong players chess.com is better

The thing that holds chess.com back is it consumes time when pre-moving. Does not come very handy during fast time controls.

If it didn't it would be cahos.

Not really, lichess streamers like Andrew were able to pull off impressive play even in short time controls.

If 100 players from lichess, rated say 1200ish, played 100 1200ish players from chess.com, the chess.com players would win more games because lichess ratings are inflated.

The main draw of chess dot com, for me, is the learning. They have a lock on that. I also prefer the interface. Paying seven bucks a month for that really isn't an issue for me. That's two cups of good coffee. Also finding a game is much faster. You don't have to sit there for half a minute waiting for a new 30+0 game.

Lichess has better stats, IMO. All I have to do to get over the hump of starting a new game is to stare at that stats screen for a minute. Other than that their main draw for me is twofold: one, the beginners playing perfect games isn't going to happen over there, and two, they count arena games toward tournament points.

Lichess has unlimited puzzles for free, that automatically makes lichess much better since everything else is equal(you can play chess on both chess.com and lichess, no difference there).

One more annoying thing about chess.com is that it doesn't have a "classical" category even if u play a 60 minute or a 45|45 or even a 120 minute game. Very weird

Marquee_K

I think it just comes down to if you can afford a membership (or has been gifted one) then chess dot com, if not lichess.

renesh2023

chess.com cause here we can permove faster in lower time controls and chess.com has a higher average rating

TheYashChess

no lichess can premove faster.

meowmeomeo

lichess can only premove once, but it doesn't lose time, while chess.com, can premoves a lot of moves ahead, but each move loses 0.1 second.

The_Arrow_Of_Requiem

Well lichess.org has unlimited free access to everything while chess.com has membership restrictions. But chess.com has a bigger audience, far more titled players, very helpful lessons and so on. I’d say chess.com.

I kind of like chess.com limiting what players have to work with. I personally like to work hard to earn things, that's just my mindset but I know that most people hate that. Idk if any of this really makes sense, I'm running on 3 hours of sleep.
