Im 16 and I started playing chess around 1-2 months ago. Ive been growing quickly and I was wondering what are some other ways to get better at chess. And with this late beginning in mind, how difficult would it be to rise to the ranks of an IM, NM or GM? I know most grandmasters started at around 6 or 7, but was there any circumstance where a GM started later on in his life?

There are many: Chinese GM Ye Jiangchuan, he started learning chess at 17, The great Akiba Rubenstein (1880/1961) only learnt to play chess at the age of 16. But it doesn’t matter if you learn things quickly, have patience and will...then you can be an another example.
