Ferris Bueller's day off is a bad movie.

I cannot stress this enough.

I personally despise this movie. Ferris is such an unlikable character. He is that kid that everyone likes for seemingly no reason. Why should I be rooting for this kid that gets away with everything? I laughed maybe once. And only because the principle had those cool flip-up sunglasses. The girlfriend of Ferris is tremendously boring. She has no personality at all, her only defining trait is being a girl. And as for Ferris's friend Cam, I actually liked him, he was done well. Until he snapped. When he started smashing everything, his character was ruined. If I was rooting for anyone, it would be the principle. I was waiting for him to finally catch Ferris. (Spoilers for the movie ahead) And once he finally did catch him, the sister had an incredibly sudden change of heart and she decided to cover for him. The principle had gone through so much, and that was his big time. But, like always, Ferris gets away with it. I think that it had a good message of enjoying the little things in life, but when a guy that uses his friends for personal gains is saying that, it takes all meaning away. I also hated how Ferris just acted however he pleased. Like when he gave the car to some shady looking guy. Ferris did not think, he just did. He made no conscious decision weighing the pros form the cons. I have no idea why this movie is so well liked, but before everyone starts saying that I'm wrong, this is all my opinion.

However, it is one of my favourite movies of all time. Top 10 for sure. And I love the Ferris character.
