After fierce argumentation on the "On Deleting our Threads" thread TV news seem now waaaaaaaay too biased to me. Imagine a chess.com member being able to allow some talking from people that are against his opinion and have 80% of the time and the priviledge of conclusions to himself. This is what TV is all about!

uh, what?

Just saying that on TV news in controversial issues, you get to hear what most sides have to say but the TV news producer totally controls how much each side is heard and of course has the priviledge of conclusions (after the presentation has been made, there must be some closing remarks) to himself.

@ echess06: I know, this is no scientific journal, I have to say things more clearly :)

You're talking about TV news in Greece right? Here in the good old USA (not old at all compared to Greece actually) on the one hand we have Fox News, which is pretty much fact-free republican disinformation + misinformation, and we also have MSNBC and PBS which tend to be considerably more in touch with reality - at least for those of us who are not millionaires or mentally defective.

No actually the truth about what's happening out there - unless you take people like Rush Lamebrain, Sean Stupidity, Glen Dreck and Bill O'Lielly seriously and/or unless you think people like Amy Goodman (on PBS) are either liars and/or stupid, which pretty much sums up the crew at Fox.

By contrast, on chess.com, all journalists, from wherever they come from are welcome to post on any thread they like as much as they like and they have the same rights to publicity as everyone else. Democracy paradise! Discussion-wise :)
