The best Halloween I dressed up for, was when I still had four young kids at home and that was in 1972.
I purchased a new real wood coffin for $35.00 from a friend of mine that made them. It was cheap because it had flaws and it was grey.
I put pillows and black sheet in it and painted my face white with black around the eyes, cuts with blood and an old wig.
I put it in the living room and I laid in it. The little kids that came trick a treating were sure scared that they had come in, knock on the coffin to get the candy.
My wife didn't want the thing in our living room. I thought after Halloween I could put some legs on it and turn it into a stereo coffee table. I could save it and when I died I could just climb in and be cremated . . .

Oh well, I remember selling it to a mortuary. . .
Have a happy Halloween . . .
