How did CC get through the Chinese firewall?

vpn
Yeah, but it was in a Q&A that stated that it was allowed in China
can I see it? I'm looking at a list of websites blocked in Mainland China rn and I don't see cc on it

I kinda forgot where I found it, but I do remember either @erik or another person with the staff flair mentioning it.
As some of you might not know, the entirety of China has a firewall that acts like GoGuardian: it gets rid of access to certain sites and apps. But in this case, it's any site/app that doesn't meet both requirements:
-Xi Jinping, chairman of China, approves of it.
-Was made in China.
Chess.com was made by an American in America. Yet there are Chinese users. I'm not complaining, but how did this happen?
