That unplugged version of Down In A Hole has got to be one of the greatest live performances of all time. The emotion in his voice is unreal. I'm really not a huge fan of AIC but I do like a couple of their songs a lot and respect what they were doing. Shame about Layne's heroin addiction because who knows what he could have achieved sober. Then again maybe part of his appeal and fame was that strung out heroin sound.
in my opinion, the best grunge singer in history. his music always gets to me. shame such a great singer left us 5 years ago. give your opinions about him. my fav. song about AiC is Down in a Hole. R.i.p Layne. hope you are happy now, wherever you are. we miss you, after all this years. Please don't disrespect him in this topic. He lived a hard life since childhood to his end years. That's the only thing i ask.
