My average for a rubix cube is becoming better

So last week my average time for solving a rubix cube was 2min 30 seconds ( pretty slow ) but now it is 1min and 45 seconds. ( It is my this week's average, my overall average is 2 min ). And I don't even use CFOP or any other fast methods. I just use beginners method with some tweaks of F2L so that I do the second later faster. I would really appreciate some tips. I am trying to get sub 45 seconds. ( I use a non-magnetic cube so also suggest should I use a magnetic one to be faster )

And I set it to off topic but for some reason jt became general chess discussion while posting. I would like a kid to help me

Glad to see you're learning to cube, although if I were you, I would first learn how to spell "Rubik's." tongue.png

Really the best thing you can do at this point is just practice, but you want to get really fast, learn basic F2L. Practice solving the cross on the bottom, and always turn as fast as you can. If you're willing to learn 16 algorithms, (which seems like a lot, at first), then learn 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL.

My fastest time for solving the Ruebec cube is about 3 months. I spell it that way because I Rue buying the darn thing in the first place. happy.png

😆🤣

My fastest is 1 minute when I was grade 5 (I stopped now). But I know how to solve all those types of Rubik’s cubes:

2x2

3x3

4x4

and 5x5 !

ron10023

my fastest is 10 seconds, if i get to jumble a fully solved one first

It is general chess discussion. Rubix cube is related to chess. Don’t ask me how though.

2x2
3x3
4x4
5x5
Ivy cube
Skewb
Megaminx
Pyraminx
Square one
Fisher cube
Mirror cube

Make sure you really know all the last layer algorithms well for oll and pll that will drastically improve your time

I never managed to solve one lol

same..

tho i think that most people who can solve it just learn some algorithms instead of actually inventing the solution on their own...

My fastest in 3x3 is about 2 minutes beginners method.

I made my own algorithms for some problems that I face while speed cubing with beginners method. I do the second layer with the first layer( sometimes using F2L or with my own method ) so that time is reduced
