It's not all doom and igloo-m. The big advantage is that when you go skiing, you're the only one ready for it.

I know the feeling...when I was 10 and wanted to go out, my parents kept the door closed until I finally listened to them ;/ thermal clothing, winter coats, a scarf....all I felt was sweaty and not pretty. thankfully they became (a little) less overprotective every next winter haha
