If you disagree, send a link to a clip you think is funny, prove me wrong.

(For those who dont know monty python, its basically 5 men shouting very obvious things extremely loudly [to compensate for the lack of humour] interspersed with lots of jibberish)

here is a sample of what a lot of people think is funny:

Ah, thanks for posting that clip - it made me laugh! Laughing

Look, sense of humour is a very personal thing. Different people find different things funny. You don't expect everyone to enjoy exactly the same humour, do you? I happen to find a lot of things funny - maybe I'm just lucky that way. In any case, I am not retarded to a mental age of 5 (9 maybe.. lol!).

What kind of humour do you find hilarious? Feel free to post a clip...

I've been saying this for years actually. I maybe found one or two skits funny on "The Final Rip Off" album but everything else is, no pun intended, a joke. I guess it takes a certain sense of humor to appreciate things like that. I have a very well developed sense of humor, but that is just not my cup of tea either.

Maybe there are clips of people laughing at Monty Python on YouTube - there seems to be very little one can't find on YouTube these days. Wink

I agree that nostalgia is a probably a significant part of the appeal of MP, perpetuated by the ritualized (and potentially annoying) quoting of sketches (not something I ever felt the need to do myself).

I do find a few scenes genuinely funny though.

The OP should join this group. Then he'd have some like-minded people to hang out with.

In the clip below, everyone in the studio is sympathetic and quiet, but the show host cannot handle the guest's voice (?) for some reason :

Anybody who can state with honesty that the incisive parody of leftist sectarianism in Life of Brian is "childish" is clearly insane.
