Old Monk Rum is the best. Do you agree?

I have been drinking old monk rum since one year now(in moderation, of course!). Since I started drinking Old Monk, I gave up all other brands. I used to suffer from common cold and fever occasionally(3-4 times in a year) before I started drinking old monk. But in the past one year, I have never got fever and common cold! The credit goes to Old Monk. It prevents many diseases and also assists in curing them! Do you agree?

ChessOath

Yes.

Cheers! *hic*

You sound like a 1940's TV advert.

I don't know who this guy is, but the fact that he smokes leads me to doubt the claim that he "takes his training very seriously."

Stanley Matthews is considered the first big English football (soccer) star. He played professionally until the age of 50 between around 1930-1960 and was known as 'the wizard of the dribble'. He was knighted whilst still an active player and was the oldest player in England's top league and also the oldest to play for England. And he enjoyed a cheeky ciggy old bean.

"Athletes" back then really did make a mockery of that word.

Yea sure, and pigs can fly.

Alcoholics make up the most silly stories while they're still in denial...

ChessOath

Also true... At least I assume it is.

Drugs have existed in pro cycling at least for as long as it's been a sport. In fact, in the early days it was pretty much openly accepted.  It was thought impossible to complete a grand tour on your own, it was viewed as science and progress triumphing over nature.  Smoking was thought to be beneficial - it "opened up the lungs" or some such nonsense.  I imagine other sports were no different.

Old Monk is different than any other brand of alcohol. Its like a medicine. It helps keep diseases at bay. Its prepared differently.

I drink it only 2-3 times in a month(around 120 ml each time) and it cures all the problems. I have many 'Old Monk ' stories to share. :p

I'll take the Old Monk challenge - except we don't get that stuff here. Guess I'm just going to have to live with all these sicknesses.

Old Monk is available worldwide. You can order it online as well.

"Old Monk" introduced another fine quality product - 'OLD MONK GOLD" few years ago.  Its lable prominently displayed 'ten years old'.  But that could not get good response from Old Monk admirers. Probably its production has been stopped.

As Homer Simpson says (and I paraphrase): Beer, the cause of and solution to all life's problems.

malko

I heard it has some scary side-effects.

DrSpudnik

If it weren't for beer, I wouldn't be alive today!
