One common trait that math and science geniuses have

When someone says that mathematicians and scientists are not creative, their statement is completely wrong. The best scientists and mathematicians of all time had one major thing in common, a heightened creative ability. Isaac Newton spent a lot of time thinking and coming up with new ideas that used extensive imagination to create, and as a result, he came up with new discoveries, such as the concept of gravity and calculus. John Forbes Nash struggled in college during times when he suffered mental illness, but he was able to use his imagination to come up with new mathematical ideas that are still used today. Einstein was also said to struggle in school, but thought outside the box and came up with new theories such as the theory of relativity, and his theories are still being used extensively today. Stephen Hawking was well known for coming up with groundbreaking ideas in physics that went beyond any concepts that were ever learned before him that couldn’t have been produced without exploration of new ideas. Temple Grandin struggled with algebra when she was in school, but her mind has such a unique creative ability that she was able to produce groundbreaking methods to make slaughterhouses more humane and of higher quality. All of these people have come up with innovations and inventions from thinking outside the box and exploring new ideas. It boils down to one thing: the true genius of mathematics and science is able to make discoveries and innovations that other mathematicians and scientists were not able create, rather than simply having the ability to understand and reperform complex problems.

Yep, the height of creativity lies in math and science. I assume that most people don't understand this.

Intelligent people are also more willing/able to suspend their disbelief. A mean way to say it is they're more gullible. To learn a huge amount requires, at least initially, accepting absurdities as true, and working out the details for yourself later on.

It's no surprise that someone like Fischer fell into the trap of cult-like churches. Intelligent people look for patterns and logic even where there are none.
