Tiktok has to be so destructive for the human psyche. The way you can watch a tragic video followed by a funny one followed by clickbait playing on your emotions in such quick succession seems like it would end in just dulling emotional reaction completely. Which could explain why people on these platforms seem to display such a lack of empathy. Because your empathy is literally being farmed by corporations who don’t give a **** about you and your mental health.
