yes i agree but then we do have to remember that ash-greninja lost against blast burn( a fire type move) which is humiliating.. i do agree that greninja's bond powers up its water type moves but then u have to remember that when ash-infernape's blaze activates it shoots out flamethrower as it is a hyper beam (its not but telling its so powerful when blaze activates) so the fire and water type moves may be equal
if we go into ash’s pokemon, ash’s greninja, for people in the anime don’t care that fighting > dark, that Infernape has self-control issues while Greninja can turn into the legendary thing version of himself.

correction: infernape *had self control issues
Infernape had self control issues but then it was resolved and mastered before the sinnoh league
