ridiculously early predictions- World Cup 2022

Who's gonna win the World Cup in Qatar? We have no evidence and no idea what teams will even be in it, so this thread is silly and completely arbitrary.

Even so, guess away.

I'm predicting That one of the Ireland's will get into the groups.

As for the winner? Let's say Brazil. They've had a hard run but maybe in the future.

England should do well in '22. They're junior squad seems to be good (they were European champions, I think). Although I don't think they'll actually win.

It's England, after all.

So, any predictions?

You think they can pull themselves together after such a terrible performance in Russai?

I'll never forgive the Germans for how they treated my grandfather 👴 during the WWIIhappy.png

USA will get to the world cup this time only to get knocked out in the Quarter-Finals

That's all I have for ya

You think they'd get that far? Has America not only been in the World Cup finals when it was on American soil and they were automatically in?

i have no idea, depends what the lineups would be.

France probably won't change due to him winning the world cup, I believe that a few of france defenders will leave, but it depends the lineups.

I don't know enough about the teams of other nations, but England will be a force. We have an outstanding attack, quality full backs, and a promising midfield. The biggest problem is in central defence, but hopefully by 2022 we'll have better players.

England are unlikely to win the Euros next year, seeing as our midfield is too young and not currently good enough,

Wales haven't got a chance. Both Bale and Ramsey won't be as good as they currently are, they'll do well to qualify. I would certainly like to be proven wrong though, I live right next to the Welsh border and consider them my second nation.

Ireland (both) and Scotland are worse than Wales, even without Bale and Ramsey. They won't qualify.

Germany will be much stronger than 2018.

USA, no idea.

France, defending champions, under huge pressure. They could win it, they could go out in the groups.

Belgium could win it.

Spain, Italy, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Croatia, all in with a chance too.

They'll probably qualify, and might get out of their group, but they won't go deep. Last 16 at best.

captaintugwash

Um... I'm quite comfortable saying they won't qualify!

Qatar will qualify as hosts. They won't win a game though.

captaintugwash

Nope. Nope. Maybe.
